By the way if anyone has any suggestions for this event.  Just say... not gonna leave the rules set in stone just yet.  Treat this round as a kind of test pilot if you like. Smiley

The PureGT Endurance TT - Round 1

Ok here it is boys and girls, The PureGT Endurance TT.  As the name suggests, this TT isn't about being quick for 1 lap, but being consistently quick for an entire race.  Each week I will pick one of the "Expert" online events, for us to battle it out on, in a quest for the quickest total race time

This weeks round will be held at the Expert PP550/RWD: Suzuka online race event.
The deadline for times to be posted is 23:59 GMT (BST) Monday 13th September

Rules:-

1.) Please post your time in this thread.

2.)  For your time to count, you MUST take a picture of your total race time, when it is displayed in the results table at the end of a race.  If your time is displayed on another partcipants picture, then that still counts as a valid time.  However it is YOUR responsibility to make sure you take a picture, so please don't rely on someone else in the same race as you, doing it for you. Wink  (If anyone needs help attaching pictures to a thread just give us a nudge.)

3.)  You are permitted to use any car eligible for the current online event.

4.)  You can setup your car in any way you see fit.  To comply with the PP restrictions of the current event.  This includes any suspension, gearbox and driving aid adjustments, as well as the adjustments which affect the cars PP rating.

5.)  Each round will run for 1 week.  Times submitted after the round has officially ended will NOT count.  (Deadline for times to be posted will be included in the first post of each round.)

6.)  You may have as many attempts at setting a time as you wish, until the deadline for times to be posted is reached.

7.)  It is not necessary for any other PGT members to be present in the same race.

8.)  Absolutely no corner cutting, wall riding, ramming or any other tactic which goes against the Honourable Drivers Code.  (Obviously this is virtually impossible to marshall, so honesty is required.  But we are all fair racers. Wink  (Of course I don't see there being any problems, but I feel this rule needs to be here for any new members we may pick up in the future.)

9.)  In the event of a collision on track, normal "online" racing etiquette still applies.  Pull over where it is safe to do so and allow any car you have knocked off track etc, to regain their position.

10.)  In the event you fall off the track, please wait until a safe gap in traffic appears, before rejoining.  Do NOT pull out in front of someone and spoil their race.

11.)  Finally and most importantly..... HAVE FUN!!!!!!!

Points:-

Points will be awarded for each round as follows...

1st = 30pts
2nd = 27pts
3rd = 24pts
4th = 22pts
5th = 20pts
6th = 18pts
7th = 16pts
8th = 14pts
9th = 12pts
10th = 10pts
11th = 9pts
12th = 8pts
13th = 7pts
14th = 6pts
15th = 5pts
16th = 4pts
17th = 3pts
18th = 2pt

Anyone finishing lower than 18th will be awarded 1pt for completing a race and posting a time.  Otherwise the round will go down as DNF with 0pt scored.

So what are you waiting for??  Get out there and get those times posted!!!  Cheesy Cool

I'd be more than happy to run the event Sean.  My thinking was that, it doesn't have to be done in one evening, as this may mean some people never get a result down because there are extremely fast people out on track at the same time.  So like the normal TT's we used to run you have 1 week to get your time posted.   I just thought that maybe for one evening we all jump in for some racing at that particular weeks event, but if people want to come back to it at any other time (as in when the races are a bit quieter) so they can actually complete the full race distance... they can... much like a traditional TT.

I like the idea of a monthly champ though.... we have enough online events to have a different Track/PP event every week of the month.  Smiley

I shall get on it later tonight and get the event posted up, once I've been through the online events list.  Before I post it, does anyone have any preferences on which event we run for this week??

Im game Justin, regarding tunes we could insist everybody post their tunes here so everybody can see them, were an honest bunch so Id trust everyone to be accurate  Tongue.
If we do this have you got the time to do the math at the end of the evening mate, ie collate the info on times, I just dont get enough of it to do a TT type event, if you fancy it pick yourself a night and its yours for this event, itll add some extra spice.
If we run it over a month so the times average out that would be even more fun, we could have a weekly champ and a monthly one, waddya think?
