A new event. Idea suggested by Mike M1169 aka PureGT_M. (Providing enough people show up) Naked Gun, because we are stripped of all our secret tunes/set-ups. Standard car, no tweeks or modifications except tyre and pp adjustment. If anyone wants to have a level playing field race at any time just use PS3 Chat to contact other members and arrange it. So add me "PureGT_GalantVR4" to your friends list, and as many other members you can. We have an event made for Tuesday night, sooooo Expert Ford GTLM Fuji F (world) (N3 tyres), Start at 19.15, 20.15, 21.15 ..etc etc etc Big thanks to Mike for the suggestion/idea. All i've done is post it here

This week s event will be at high speed ring forward with BMW Z4 in totally standard tune.which is 493PP. i trust you all not to tweek suspension and gear settings. The idea is to challenge our Driving abilities, not our ability to tune/adjust the car to get the best out of it. regards to all, Gazza

The main thing is we use the same car in standard tune. If the track is available online then we use the track if not we use a different one. whatever car track combination you have already decided on this event can go along with. You don't need to change anything in the TT. It's just a way to see if we can drive as quickly with others around as we can alone.
main thing is to have fun, regards Gazza

Gary,
Just one thing .... As we are using the online events , there are undoubtedly going to be other "non PureGT" drivers in the same race. Can we come up with some sort of "start protocol" so that we can as far as possible race together .. e.g. we slow down and let the other drivers go ahead , (they will have higher PP so this shouldnt take long) then assemble on the start line, race to start when timer reaches 45 seconds ... or something like that.
Also , as this is being run at the weekend when people tend to be on at funny times , rather than early to mid evening as they are during the week , should we make this an "all day" event, that people can join whenever they are online on Saturday.
Regards Mike

regarding starts, i personally don't like the "wait till everyone goes past" thing. they will all pass us quite quickly anyway. the day for the event was just added coz saturday was free, i thought it would be an idea to have it open to race anytime we wanted and just use ps chat to arrange with whoever is available, could just as easily do it all day saturday and sunday or whenever we felt like it, regards all Gazza

The TT has obviously ended now , but is the idea of running a stock race as a regular event still something people are interested in ?

We'd have to throw this open to the guys to make sure we had enough interest in the event. I know Sundays are always a bit thin on the ground as fas as participants are concerned , but i would like to give it at least a glimmer of a chance of success. Ill have a good think and see what i can come up with. Then perhaps we can take a vote or something.

At 733p maxed out on R3s even with no other tweaks the F430 is suprisingly quick, on a number of occasions we found ourselves overtaking full 800pp cars, thanks to Kev, Mike and Nat again for a fun evening.
