RACE INVADERS

i think this could be a really good event for members and the forum itself....... maybe not at this moment as we finally have some extra interest in GT what with the academy and some hopefully interesting events for the festive season......... so can i propose to leave this thred open for suggestions of events on other forums in the future, we could do RACE INVADERS on a random basis or just when peeps are gettin abit bored..... i will browse the other forums ask permision and post any events that appeal to me...... remember the aim of this is to bring more peeps to together on track for more action, fun and variety

And so we have Benjabens RACE INVADERS night, thanks for the suggestion Ben, sorry its taken so long to get round to posting it.
We all have friends at various forums, lets get together with them as Ben suggests and spice their lives up a little.
Early evening search your buddy lists for GTP, GTRP etc members, drop them a pm and see what events they are running along with a request for an invitation to join them if possible.
I think we have a solid reputation for clean driving and would imagine "most" other forums would be pleased to see other fair drivers alongside them on the grid instead of potential rammers.
Rules - we will adhere to whatever rules our hosts are using, absolute integrity is expected regarding race conduct as always.
Times - obviously the same as our hosts.
Cars - ditto, if its a stock car event nooo tweaking however minor.

As its a weekend event may I suggest we begin to assemble ourselves in a chat room from about 19.00hrs UK time.
Apologies for the lack of a proffesional finish to the post folks but this is the first time I have "created" an event.

Tonight was GT Drivers anniversary so it was a pleasure to be invited to invade there celebrations, my Lancia was actually being held up by Audi R8s thanks to a tune Nat kindly pm,d me when she saw what a hash up id made of tuning it myself, saved me from a great deal of embarrasment that did i can tell you, thanks Nat ). Sadly the cars pace wasnt matched by my skills, i keep forgetting im in a LHD car  .

Great fun today guys! I had a blast and learned a lot ! Started with 2.17.3xx and got down to 2.15.189 in clean air after a few races! 2.14.xxx hopefully tomorrow !

Only had a couple of races before having to leave, but was good fun.
Never seen so many Lancias in one place before. Rust caused  a hydraulic leak and
brake failure on second last corner sending me crashing into the back of GTDrivers_Zaper.
Fortunately he recovered without losing tooo many places ...
They dont make them like that anymore ..... thank goodness.
Great times there Tiago , what setup did you go for in the end ?

OK guys I spoke with Hans TMGuardian_Hansa and he and the rest of the TM racers have kindly agreed to race us on the 20th Feburary  .
Would those who would like to participate please post their names here, provisionally the races will be..
20.04 - Fuji550 FWD in a Mini Cooper S using R/S tyres or a combination of the two.
20.24 - Eiger    RWD in any car you like.
20.54 - Suzuka 4WD in Skyline R34 GTR V Spec, on R tyres.
21.24 - HSR800 in any car you like.
           
If blue cars are available could you please use blue 

So far Hans has PGT_Swe1, PGT_Swe2, PGT_Kevin and myself down to take part, could you fellas confirm this, Hans may have assumed you'd be racing cos yer all Scandanavians like him.
Mike has also volunteered to represent us, big fums up Mike, thanks buddy, .
So if your up for what will be a very tough challenge, (the TM boys are excellent) please put your name down here.

Ooooooh ooooh this sounds great!!!  Count me in, (providing I'm at home... been quite a hectic few weeks  )  the format sounds brill for the evening.

I have one of the TMGuardian guys on my friends list, he is a truly awesome racer and a very nice bloke into the bargain   I also briefly met Hans at Daytona one evening with Sean, who also seemed like a really nice guy and ace on the track.  But I had a fetish for crashing into things and/or spinning wildly out of control that evening, so didnt really get to see much of the racing

Yes all the TM fellas ive raced with have been absolutely superb, in fact i think it sorta stands TM 20+ Hawkfum 3 at the mo.
